Van Zuylens' report (Historiek van de 2de divisie)
For those of you who like to study the Napoleonic area from behind a desk (instead of working hard in the archives): here are the Annexes of Van Zuylen's "Historiek van de 2de divisie". At least, part of it. Some pages are still missing. The report itself is 40 pages, and will come when I have enough spare time to digitalize it. As always, please note that the figures mentioned in the report are Van Zuylens' figures based on daily reports he got from the field units. It's an account from one day only. There are often differences between the 'official' figures and the figures in the field. For example, many 'missing" soldiers returned to their units after a fews days. Therefore we are working hard to digitalize the muster rolls, these are stating the real losses in killed, wounded and missing.

Vijf jaar onderzoek resulteerde in deze, van dag tot dag, tijdslijn over het 8st militie. Alle feiten en gevens komen uit de literatuur genoemd op deze site.
Dagboek 2de divisie
Eindeloos fotografeer (in het Rijksarchief)- en vertaal werk leverde deze digitale versie op van het dagboek van de stafchef van de 2de divisie, Baron van Zuylen van Nyevelt. Het geeft een heel mooi beeld van de gebeurtenissen in 1815 en staat bomvol met wetenswaardigheden. Aan de hand van dit stuk kunnen heel wat geschiedenis boeken en artikelen worden herschreven. Rood gemaakte teksten betreffen het 8st militie. Ongeveer 600 kb groot, dus het kan even duren.

Als je een volledige kopie wilt hebben vraag Grenadier Frank van der Weegen van de 2e Bataillon Noord-Nederlandse Grenadier Compagnie. Er bestaat ook nog een "Bataljon school", zie ook daarvoor de website van Frank. Als 4de en laatste deel van deze opleidings documenten is er nog de 'brigade" school (met de naam "Evolutieën van ligne")....maar dat moeten we nog digitaliseren!

Commands of the Dutch army (guidance tool)
This document is not an original document. It's made recently by Cees van Eijk, Sjak Draak en Bas de Groot of the 7e Bataljon Infanterie van Linie reenactment unit. The documents gives an overview of the Dutch commands in the Napoleonic time, and it is also translated in several other languages. The document was made for re-enactment organisations to overcome language and command problems. Nevertheless is a good summary of al possible commands.
